What type of style do you envision for your session? Some clients have a specific location picked out from the beginning. If so, that is great! I am always ready for trying new places. If not, I have listed some helpful tips for location suggestions and styles. I want to help your family pick a location that makes them feel most comfortable and brings out everyone's personality. Sunset lighting is best...and worth keeping the kids up for! Please take time to look at my photography style and get a sense of how I work. Look back at other sessions to get examples of locations. Together we will help you find a location that fits your style and needs!

Country/ Rural Settings- My family owns some land with rustic barns, fields, tall grass, and woods. This is a great option for people who like this style session. Any rural setting could include fields, barns, grass, fences, and long gravel driveways.

Natural/Park Settings- Woods, green space, or any park can be a great location. Water features such as ponds or creeks can be good for small kids as well. There are many parks around the Hendricks County area that I enjoy shooting at such as Ellis Park, Hummel Park, Washington Township Park, Eagle Creek, and the Holcomb Gardens. These are just a few suggestions. There are lots of parks open to the public to choose from. Sometimes a backyard can work just as well!

Urban/Downtown Settings- Brick walls, alleyways, stairs, and streets are unique settings for sessions. This is an especially good location in early spring when the ideas I listed above are not yet green. I love this look for my Seniors best! I have used downtown Indy, downtown Columbus, Indiana, downtown Danville, Lebanon, Zionsville, and North Salem. There are lots of quaint, rustic cities in the Indianapolis area to choose from.

Holiday Themes- Examples include apple orchards, Christmas tree farms, and county fairs. We can plan something together to fit a theme you want!

Lifestyle/ In Home Settings- At this time I do not own a studio. I am able to keep my prices lower by shooting on location. For newborn sessions, baby milestones, and in colder weather I can come to your home. I like to keep this mainly for small children. Love shooting lifestyle inside your home.
